Mallorca Kiteboarding was born in 2014 as a result of the passion for the wind and the waves of its two founders, Perico and Mike. Their watersport teaching journey dates back to 2010, where a friendship blossomed as they met working for another kite school in the area. Perico and Mike both had a dream of starting a kitesurfing school, and through their hard work and determination, Mallorca Kiteboarding was born.
The start-up stage was difficult, of course it was! However, now after 8 years of great experiences and enjoying every second of their work, Mallorca Kiteboarding can proudly say they are an exemplary centre in the north of Mallorca. Since the first days, the team has grown to add experts in watersports who offer their own character and wisdom to the classes. Not to mention the two Mallorca Kiteboarding centres are located on one of the best watersport hotspots in Mallorca, the Pollensa bay.
Mallorca Kiteboarding is authorized by the Ministry of Mobility and Habitat of the Balearic Government, registration no. 2/15 in the registry of Nautical Sports Schools of General Directorate of Air and Maritime. Mallorca Kiteboarding is also part of the Balearic Sailing Federation and the Spanish Surfing Federation, due to their official qualifications.

We have two authorized centers in the Bay of Pollensa, north of the island. One of the centers is located at the Hotel Port Blue Club Pollentia Resort. This is our Headquarters, where you can take lessons of Kiteboarding, Windsurfing, Paddleboarding and Wingfoil. Just about 1.5 km away, within the Hotel CLub del Sol Resort & SPA, we have our second center. This centre offers kitesurfing and paddleboarding only.
Parking and bus service available at both centers.
Take line 352, line connecting the towns of Puerto de Pollensa – Alcúdia- Puerto Alcúdia – Can Picafort. Bus stop Club del Sol or Port Blue Club Pollentia.
Take the bus 351 Palma-Alcúdia, from Plaza España in Palma. Once in Alcúdia (main bus stop), take the 352 towards Puerto de Pollensa. There is a stop for Club del Sol or Port Blue Club Pollentia.
Take line 340 Palma - Puerto de Pollensa, from Plaza España (Palma). Once in Port de Pollensa (main station), take line 352 direction Alcúdia. Bus stop Club del Sol or Port Blue Club Pollentia.
We follow the safety protocols both within the center and in the classes in the water. For this reason, for kitesurfing courses, we only conduct semi-private or private courses in which no material is shared, unless the students come from the same family circle. In this case, a group class could be given that shares the material. The rest of the classes (windsurf, paddle surf and wingfoil are always with individual material)
Yes. When you book a course or class with us, the price includes accident and liability insurance.
NO!
You can come on your own and be part of a group or semiprivate lesson. Private tuition is for them willing to have a teacher exclusively for them.
Period October - March: Gradient winds, i.e. they come from the weather forecast. The wind at this time is usually moderate to strong or very strong, 20-40 + knots, with many days of 20-30 knots, perfect for experienced riders. The wind probabilities during this period are 50%. Wind direction can vary in any direction
Period April-September: Prevailing thermal winds generated in the Bay of Pollensa. The strength of the thermals usually ranges from 10 to 18 knots on days with the greatest strength. During this time, there is usually also a day of wind with a gradient of about 20 knots. The wind probabilities during this period are 85%. Prevailing wind direction: On Shore, Side Shore, Side On Shore sea winds. The thermal wind rises around noon and lasts until the end of the afternoon.
SAILING WITH HYDROFOIL IN THE BAY OF POLLENSA.
The bay of Pollensa is simply a paradise for hydrofoil sailing, be it kitesurfing, windsurfing or wingfoil. The temperate thermal winds and sandy bottom make it possible to navigate practically daily during the months of April to October.

NO. It is a sport based on technique, not strength. Therefore, everyone can learn how to kitesurf.
Pollensa Bay is one of the best places to learn kitesurfing for several reasons:
- Moderate soft winds between 10-18 knots
- Sandy bottoms and shallow water
- Very low waves
April-May/September: Due to the wind conditions, kitesurfing lessons usually take place between 12am and 6pm.
June-August: We start classes a little earlier, usually between 11am and 6-7pm
October: 1pm-5pm
These schedules are not a fixed rule, there are certain days that the forecast is diferent. We will always inform you of the class schedules.
Essential is to bring a pair of sunglasses, the sun could be really annoying if you don't wear them.
Sunscreen and a towel.
Some food and drink (Altough there is a supermarket nearby)
We will always recommend the semi-private class, where you do not have to share the material with a student. It is slightly more expensive than the group class, but much cheaper than private lessons. However, if you want to adjust your budget, group classes also work perfectly. On the other hand, if you prefer an ultra-fast learning method, we recommend private lessons. For kids we only do group or private lessons, where the instructor is 100% of the time with them.
We will move the lessons to another day that suits you. If you cannot take another day and have already paid the class in advance, you will be refunded the full amount of the remaining hours.
No, this is not necessary. The only basic requirement to be able to rent equipment from us is the knowledge of how to master riding upwind. Our instructors will give you a short questionnaire when you arrive at the center to see how high your kitesurfing level is. Then you will need need to fill out a material lease.
Yes, although it may seem like an easy-to-learn sport, a class gives you a completely different vision than trying to learn on your own and your learning curve is much faster than when you practice alone.
Trust us, there is a perfect board for every person. Don't let a poor balance stop you from trying paddle surfing. All your concerns will be addressed in an initiation course. So don't be afraid to reserve a course! We have very large and comfortable boards, perfect for beginners. We also recommend that you start in a day with completely calm waters.
The number of people attending a class can vary greatly. We teach from 1 person to more than 30 people! Regardless of the number of people, the reach is always a maximum of 7 students per 1 instructor.
In our experience, children from the age of 10 can participate in a course that adults also participate in. If the children are younger than 10 years old, we recommend a course for children. If you are a family and have children under the age of 10 and still want to attend classes together, there is no problem either. We will try to organize the groups accordingly.
We always try to organize paddle boarding lessons taking into account the wind forecast and always choose a day when we know the sea will be calm. However, it has happened that the conditions on the day of the lesson were not good. No problem, then we will move the class to another day that suits you. If you are unable to take another day and have already paid for the class in advance, the full amount of the class will be returned to you.
We don't usually have this service. However, contact us and we will consider your request.
Of course! If you come to Mallorca on vacation and want to row every day, this is the cheapest option.
In the months of April to October, the first hours of the morning are usually best for paddling when the sea is calm.
Yes, our excursions are designed for beginners. However, you can always book a 1-hour introductory course to get a little more confidence and to enjoy the excursion 100%, although it is not required.
There is no problem. Contact us and we will organize an exclusive tour for you.
Unfortunately not. The reason is that the sea in Pollensa Bay is usually quite choppy and rough in the afternoons due to the wind. Therefore, the best time for a paddle surf excursion is early morning. You have to get up early, but it's worth it!
